The concept of the exhibition explores fashion as an art form, with a particular focus on sustainability, craftsmanship, and artistic expression. Rather than presenting the garments through a traditional runway format, I will display them on mannequins as sculptural fashion pieces, allowing each garment to be experienced as an individual work of art.
The images I previously shared are examples of my work and provide a visual reference for my creative practice. I will also send a curated selection of the final pieces that will be featured in the exhibition. These images may also be used for promotional and communication purposes related to the exhibition.

Musa is an artist, stylist, art director, educator, and founder of Bolley Clothing, based in Berlin, Germany. His practice is deeply rooted in exploring and unraveling the vibrant narratives of African fashion, culture, and identity.
As the creative director of Bolley Clothing, Musa brings together traditional African textiles and contemporary silhouettes, using fashion as a means of preserving cultural heritage while championing sustainable and handmade practices. His creative approach combines a deep appreciation for textile craftsmanship with global design influences, resulting in pieces that exist at the intersection of tradition and modernity.
The name Bolley comes from the Wolof language and means “to connect things together.” This idea extends beyond clothing to encompass people, cultures, stories, sound, movement, and artistic exchange. The brand serves as a bridge between heritage and contemporary expression, creating meaningful connections across communities and creative spaces.
As an educator and multidisciplinary creative, Musa also shares his knowledge of transforming discarded and secondhand materials into symbolic, wearable works of art. Through workshops, talks, and collaborative projects, he encourages conscious creation and invites others to explore fashion as a medium for storytelling, cultural dialogue, and creative expression.
His work and collaborations span Europe and Africa, with projects, runway shows, exhibitions, workshops, and cultural exchanges taking place across Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Senegal, The Gambia, Ghana, Togo, Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, and beyond. Through these international collaborations, Musa continues to build bridges between artisans, communities, and contemporary fashion spaces, fostering exchange and creating new possibilities for cultural connection through art and design.
